couponMark K Sachs in 2005 devoted himself full time to research related to the medical and surgical side of cosmetic enhancements, serious weight loss and weight management. In this regard, Dr. Sachs founded Downtown Medical, LLC (Sculptra Skin and Laser Center) where he worked and performed surgery for the next four years. During this time, Dr. Sachs spent thousands of hours involved with medical research and hands-on review and exploration of the most effective ways to non invasively modify  and improve facial and body aesthetics along with optimizing the patients overall health.  Breakthroughs and advances in laser technologies and their applications became of great interest to Dr Sachs as an alternative to current invasive medical procedures used in cosmetic surgery.  As an infectious disease expert, his practice unfortunately saw the worst of the worst horror stories related to those plastic surgery cases that went poorly and resulted in disfigurement from infectious complications such as invasive staph infections of skin and bone.  These post-operative infections, although seen in only a small percentage of surgical cases were disfiguring, refractory to antibiotic therapy and led to extensive morbidly.

In searching for better methods for healing and procedures to recommend as alternatives, Dr. Sachs discovered the latest advances in laser products & techniques through various companies and medical professionals from around the world.  This convinced him that this approach was a true revolution in medicine that would now offer a safer NON-INVASIVE approach for all patients who needed or desired cosmetic work.  In addition, cosmetic enhancement procedures now would become a realistic treatment modality for patients with health issues that previously precluded them from undergoing invasive surgical procedures. Dr. Sachs started on a 2 year journey by visiting and researching those expert’s findings both inside and outside the United States and has been able to absorb the best of all techniques and procedures which now provide optimum results for his patients. 

Some of the laser treatments and procedures offered Cosmetic Surgery Associates are apart of only a select few surgical practices in South Florida.   Many of the professionals here at Cosmetic Surgery Associates are not only experts in their field but national trainers to other practitioner looking to obtain the necessary certifications to provide similar laser services to their patients.

Today these approaches and results are offered only to his patients at his new Coral Gables Facility.  Located in the heart of Coral Gables on 27th Avenue, right across from the Publix shopping center -- Cosmetic Surgery Associates is open to create a new YOU.   Associated with his practice, Dr. Sachs has welcomed Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Registered Nurses, and Certified Laser Specialists with additional aesthetic and medical certifications to his practice and adds their decades of experience and extensive knowledge to enhance patient care.
